M74 Camp
M74 Zodiac Camp
CAMP POST POSTPONED
This camp was to be held over the weekend of the 17 -18th April 2010.
We are still hopeful of organising a camp on the M74, but it is now likely to be next year
More details will follow, but the camp is open to those in the scout section or above 1 month prior to the proposed camp dates Those attending will need to have attended 2 zodiac camps to ensure they understand the camping procedures that will be in place during the camp.
Final details are still being made with the contractor and construction schedules are being checked to see if the proposed venue can indeed be used. Recent bad weather has hindered some of the concrete works on the project.
The camp is likely to run from 12 noon Saturday to 12 noon Sunday, with transport only being available to site by minibus. Campers will need to be at the Church for 11am, and carry only one rucksack (everything must be inside and items that can become detached and blow off the bridge onto a live motorway carriageway). Transport back to the Church will start at 12 noon on the Sunday and all campers should have been returned to the Church by 1pm.
A full programme will be published here once alternative dates have been determined, however it should be noted at this stage that there is expected to be some press interest in the camp and it is possible that TV cameras and newspaper photographers will be on site -
