This type of camp will generally take place on either the Friday or the Saturday. Whilst some spaces may be available in the minibus, it is likely that campers will make their own way to site and be picked up from site the following day. The times are generally as follows, although may be subject to variation. Cost includes camp fee, an activity, a supper in the evening, breakfast and lunch. All campers should come prepared to camp under canvas.
Details are generally given out one or two weeks before an intended camp date. Generic PC forms and an information sheet about Zodiac Camps are available on the download page
We either camp in small hike tents or use hammocks. We provide a range of hike tents that can be used by our youth members. Hammocks are generally personal hammocks (double hammocks made from parachute material (£10-£15 on Ebay)). Campers should bring a tarpaulin of around 3m x 3 m that would be helpful, we have some but a few extras will never go a miss. An information sheet on hammock camping is also available on our download page.
Covid-19
Scottish HQ has published a list of "at home" Zodiac Challenges that our Scouts and Explorers can do at home. Camping is now formally permitted again and we will generally run a camp every month
Camp details will be issued via Facebook and online scout manager emails
